My Story

My name is Carlos Eduardo Mattey Cabeza, I was on born in Upata Venezuela. I was raised by my grandparents in Puerto Ordaz Bolivar State and sometimes had the opportunity to visit my mother in Upata. I then moved to Toronto Canada when I was 14 years old. I went to high school at W. A. Porter Collegiate Institute. When I was 18 years old, I made an important decision to move back to Venezuela.
At the age of 21 God began to get my attention and I gained a deep curiosity to know His Son, Jesus Christ. At this time I moved to Nueva Esparta Venezuela for a job opportunity. I soon met my best friend and future wife Darling Cardenas and we got married November 17, 2017.
My whole life changed as I started taking the Word of God more seriously and applying it in every area of my life. I have experienced many miracles and through God’s Power I have witnessed and contributed to healings, casting out demons even raising a person from the dead. The Gospel has had a big impact on my life and is constantly being preached to people around me. The strongest area of influence has been Discipleship, as people around me have been experiencing the same powerful and miraculous results as I have experienced.
This Spiritual journey has brought me to join I Will Impact, and my goal has always been to help people to experience the same Power of God that is happening in my life. I believe my story is just the beginning and I thank the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ for the grace and opportunity to serve Him through this amazing organization.

My Role

My role with I Will Impact is to lead the impact makers in the hearth of the struggle. My team and I organize every event and project from Our Causes and strive hard to accomplish the organizational goals. Our team has made a priority to preach the Gospel of Jesus, not just by preaching, but more importantly by living out the Gospel with our lives as we are called to be light to this world of darkness
There is a pressing need to show our light in Venezuela at this moment as the country is facing hunger, misery and economic collapse. I have the opportunity to see go out into the streets and make an impact by being a good ambassador for I Will Impact and show the world how they can support us in the causes.

Why I Choose to Volunteer and Help

I choose to volunteer because the tremendous need in Venezuela. As believers and impact makers we are called to help those in need with a loving hand. Everywhere I go there are people begging for food, orphans and single mothers struggling to feed their children. My love for Jesus is causing my heart to cry and we must bring hope to every person that we can reach.

My Experience

Years ago, I worked for Sick Kids foundation collecting funds to support the hospital. This was my 1st experience with a charitable organization and it was a real awesome experience. I feel that the Lord was preparing me through my experience with Sick Kids for this opportunity to participate in I Will Impact. Since starting this project, hundreds of lives have been touched and many people have been saved. I truly believe there is more yet to come.
In my experience with I Will Impact I always get the opportunity to interact with the people in need first hand and bring every donation we collect right to their hands, literally!
